Event Poster

We were challenged to create an event poster as well as branding and promotional materials directly based off of one song by an artist. These materials focus on "1999" by Charli XCX and Troye Sivan. 

The design approach is inspired by 90s vaporwave design as well as 90s interfaces. The song is all about nostalgia and yearning for the 90s, so by redesigning the windows 95 interface by making it more pastel and whimsical, we could speak to the feeling of remembering the past in beautiful, soft, colors. We included references like aim chat and the sims to really convey the sense of nostalgia to our viewers and to further define the time period.

Most stadiums don't allow you to bring in bags that aren't clear, so clear fanny packs are popular among concert goers.

E-Ticket

Ticket

We were tasked with creating an interesting yet informative E-Ticket for the concert, complete with information about the event itself as well as a scannable QR code and seating information. The ticket continues to borrow it's design approach from the event poster, using gradients, pastels, stylized 90s interface windows, as well as the mouse to help indicate seating arrangements.

Finally, we created a limited edition album cover commemorating the event. For this piece, we decided to use the motif of a windows desktop with pastel versions of old icons.
